Choco chip cookies using Ragi and Jaggery


1) 1 cup 
Ragi flour (150 gm)

2) 1/2 cup powdered jaggery

3) 3 tbsp cornflour

4) 1egg

5) 3 tbsp choco chips

6) ½  tsp cinnamon powder

7) ½  tsp baking powder

8) ½ tsp baking soda

9) 2 tbsp milk

10) 1/4th cup melted butter or oil

11) ½ tsp vanilla essence

 

Step 1: Dry roast the ragi flour and let it cool down

Step 2: Add in the baking powder, baking soda, cornflour, cinnamon powder to the cooled ragi flour

Step 3: Whisk the oil/butter, vanilla essence, milk, jaggery and egg  separately. Once then add in the dry ingredients mentioned in Step 2

Step 4: Finally add in the choc chips and mix all ingredients well

Step 5: The cookie dough would be of a sticky consistency.

Step 6: Place a walnut size of cookie dough on the baking tray by keeping at least 1.5 inch gap

Step 7: Bake in a pre heated oven for 15-20 minutes at 180 degree celcius.
