Many a time it is the accompanying sides that really make the mains look more appealing. And what can be more appetizing than biting into a buttery, crispy, well seasoned Roasted/Grilled Potato?
Sides are mostly prepared as per the accompanying dish, so the measures here are not very relevant. I will just give you two easy hacks to prepare the potatoes.
Boil potatoes with the skin on. Cook to almost 80-90 %.
Remove the skin and make thick half-inch round slices.
Season with salt, pepper or any other spices/herbs of your choice.
Method 1:
If using a pan, just fry the potatoes on both sides until you get the desired golden color and crisp.
Method 2:
If cooking along-with the mains in an oven, put the potatoes on the side and cook alongside the main dish for about 20 minutes, or till the top turns a crispy golden color. If your mains take a long time to bake you can add the potatoes about 30 minutes before the same is done.
